Frequently Asked Questions

A TAP Miles&Go customer number is required to participate in the promotion. You can enrol in the TAP Miles&Go programme here.

Statusmatch.com, in cooperation with TAP Miles&Go, the frequent flyer programme of TAP Air Portugal, offers participants who are from select countries and hold eligible frequent flyer status in frequent flyer programmes listed in the table matrix below for an equivalent frequent flyer status in the TAP Miles&Go programme.

In addition to TAP Miles&Go status, each member who is approved for the status match will receive 2x Status Miles for 30 days.

TAP Miles&Go members from select countries within Europe (excluding Portugal) are eligible to apply. The full list of eligible countries can be found here.

Depending on the tier held by eligible status holders, they will receive either Silver or Gold status with TAP Miles&Go.

You will receive all of the TAP Miles&Go Silver benefits and all of the Gold benefits, except for ‘Free Gold Status for a friend’.

The status will be valid for 12 months from approval.

After those 12 months, your tier will be reviewed and renewed if the below criteria are met:

  • Silver renews with 30,000 status miles OR 25 TAP flights/segments flown
  • Gold renews with 70,000 status miles or 50 TAP flights/segments flown

If your application is approved, you will receive the corresponding frequent flyer status in the TAP Miles&Go programme within 10 business days from approval.

Note: If you are approved for a Status Match, your Status Miles balance for 2025 will be reset to zero.

If you are approved for a Status Match, your Status Miles balance for 2025 will be reset to zero. You will need to meet the published criteria to retain or upgrade your tier within your card validity.

Yes. There is a 49€ fee for Silver and a 199€ fee for Gold. The fee includes 12 months of status and a 2x Status booster where you will earn double Status Miles for 30 days.

The Status Booster will award all members double Status Miles for 30 days from the date of approval, up to a threshold of 10,000 Status Miles. The double status miles will be awarded on the base fare for all eligible flights during those 30 days. The total amount awarded will be visible in the transaction history of your TAP Miles&Go customer account.

No. Only status members who hold an eligible status level with a program listed on the Tier Mapping table and are from an eligible country can participate.

The status match offer is available for a limited time only and may end at any time at the discretion of TAP Miles&Go and StatusMatch.com.

To participate in the promotion, you need your TAP Miles&Go customer number, your eligible other frequent flyer status card number, and a valid e-mail address at which we can reach you.

During the registration process, we will also ask you for proof of your eligible frequent flyer status (e.g., a photo of your status card), and you may be requested to provide and complete an identity check, including your passport or driver's licence.

You will be informed within three days after submitting the requested information, whether your status match has been approved. Once approved, it may take up to 10 business days until your frequent flyer status is upgraded in your TAP Miles&Go account.

After your frequent flyer status has been upgraded, you will receive an e-mail from TAP Miles&Go, containing information on how to make the most of your frequent flyer status with TAP Miles&Go. This e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address provided in your TAP Miles&Go account.

Please download the TAP Miles&Go app to access your customer card, which will show your status.
